Rabbit hole diving...

As a writer of dark romance, I've found myself on a slippery slope of research rabbit holes. One minute I'm looking up historical facts about 19th-century England, and the next I'm devouring true crime podcasts and wondering if I've inadvertently joined a secret society of macabre enthusiasts.
But let's be real, research is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it's essential for crafting a believable and immersive story. On the other hand, it's a perfect excuse to procrastinate. I mean, who needs to write when you can spend hours reading about the history of torture devices or the psychology of possessive behavior?
I've lost count of how many times I've told myself, "Just one more article," only to emerge hours later, bleary-eyed and covered in virtual dust. My browser history is a testament to my lack of self-control, filled with tabs about everything from Gothic architecture to the art of seduction.
Despite the dangers of research rabbit holes, I've learned to harness their power. By embracing my curiosity and allowing myself to explore the darker corners of human nature, I've created characters that are complex, nuanced, and sometimes downright terrifying.
So, if you ever find yourself wondering how I come up with such twisted ideas, just know that it's all thanks to the magic of research. And if you see me on the FBI's watchlist, mind ya buisiness... I'm working here!
